AceShowbiz - Drake has taken his trolling of Metro Boomin to new heights, using a meme from the 2002 film "Drumline" to poke fun at the producer. In the clip, Metro's face is superimposed on Nick Cannon's character as he attempts to impress band leaders with his drumming skills. The meme relates to Drake's diss track "Push Ups", on which he raps, "Metro, shut yo ho-a** up and make some drums, n***a."
Drake's trolling is reportedly a response to Metro's frustrations over the success of Drake's album "Her Loss" at recent award ceremonies. Metro has stated, "Yet 'Her Loss' keeps winning rap album of the year over H&V. Proof that award shows are just politics and not for me." Drake responded indirectly by quoting Jay-Z's "Heart of the City" on his Instagram Story, saying, "Damn, little mans, I'm just tryna do me/ If the record's two mil I'm just tryna move three."
In addition to Metro, Drake has targeted other artists in his diss track, including Kendrick Lamar, Future, The Weeknd and Rick Ross. Metro has not directly responded to Drake's trolling, but he has claimed to be a member of the "Biggest 3" alongside The Weeknd and Future.
Drake's trolling of Metro Boomin is just the latest episode in the ongoing drama between the two artists. Ross has also taken shots at Drake, accusing him of using a ghostwriter for his hit song "Sicko Mode" with Travis Scott (II). The feud shows no signs of slowing down, as both artists continue to trade blows on social media.
